Tim Cook calls AirPods ‘a runaway success’
While touring the New York Stock Exchange floor with his nephew, Tim Cook took a few moments to talk about the AirPods with CNBC. Cook claimed he couldn’t talk about business, but “It’s been a great holiday.”
When asked about the lack of AirPod stock, Apple CEO called them “a runaway success,” adding that “we’re making them as fast as we can.”

Tim Cook took the stage back in September where the product was initially revealed. The AirPods were originally supposed to launch in October, but likely production issues pushed the launch back to mid-December.
First impressions from current owners seem to be relatively positive, although some users are reporting battery trouble with their charging case.
