Report claims carrier O2 is preparing staff for 22nd September iPhone 8 launch
According to Latvian based concept creator Benjamin Geskin, mobile carrier O2 is reportedly preparing staff for launch of the iPhone 8 in store on 22nd September, a week after the rumoured announcement date of 12th September.
It’s believed Apple will host this years iPhone event at their uncompleted Apple Park campus, however; according to the WSJ the venue may change if contractors aren’t able to keep to Apple strict time schedule.
The iPhone 8 is most certainly building itself up to be one of the most anticipated iPhone releases of all time. According to leaked dimensions coming from sources within Apple’s supply chain, it appears that the iPhone 8 will be smaller than the iPhone 7 Plus, yet larger than the iPhone 7, closely matching Samsung with the Galaxy S8.
It’s believed this year’s iPhone release will see Apple introduce an all new device featuring a 5.8-inch display which will feature a “Function Area” that will be home to Apple’s virtual Home button that will support Touch ID through a fingerprint scanner embedded directly into the display.
