Indie developer and contributor to The Apple Post, Zeph McLearan, has today launched version 2.1 of the popular sound effects app, Sitcom; bringing an array of new features across platforms in what promises to change the way users use the app.
Rolling out within an App Store update; version 2.1 takes full advantage of the updated technologies packed within iOS 10, watchOS 3 and the corresponding hardware. Users with 3D Touch compatible devices (iPhone 6s and upwards) can now quickly press down on the Sitcom icon to open a sound effects widget, also accessible from the lock screen, as well as performing quick actions such as activating the Laugh sound. Sitcom‘s latest update has been re-engineered to use the new dual core processor within the Apple Watch Series 2, dramatically improving loading times and consequently making the sound effects you love even speedier than ever.
The concept behind Sitcom is simple; have you ever been in a comical situation and wished you had the power of a live audience to make hilarious sound effects? Sitcom gives its users the ability to play sound effects from either their iPhone, Apple Watch or Apple TV; ranging from Applause to Boos, Cheering to Gasp and now Crickets to the classic “Wha Whaa”, Sitcom is sure to have the sound effect to make your comical situation even more amusing.
Sitcom isn’t McLearan Productions only app; the Colorado based developer has also released PlayerONeGame for the Apple TV, a modern take on the classic game of Pong alongside Friendimizer, an iOS 10 sticker pack compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
