New evidence points to Face ID equipped iPad models launching soon
New evidence shared on Tuesday by developer Steven Troughton-Smith suggests Apple is close to launching a highly rumoured Face ID equipped iPad model, with the discovery of an iPad-ready version of AvatarKit (used for Animoji) found with an iOS 12 beta build.
Currently only the iPhone X uses AvatarKit as it requires Apple’s TrueDepth Camera and Sensor System to work. The inclusion of it on iPad only strengthen the many reports that claim Apple is gearing up to launch a new iPad model later in the year featuring Face ID.
Spanish concept creator Álvaro Pabesio released a fresh set of iPad Pro concepts last week envisioning what Apple may have up their sleeve for their highly anticipated slim-lined bezelled Face ID equipped tablet.
