Leaked images claim to show new ‘Copper Gold’ iPhone 8 finish
With iPhone 8 images coming in thick and fast, a new leak from Chinese microblogging site Weibo (via MyDrivers) appears to show Apple’s new ‘Copper Gold’ iPhone 8 finish, a companied by the existing Jet Black and Silver colours found on Apple’s iPhone 7 line.
According to KGI’s Ming-Chi Kuo, dubbed the “best Apple analyst on the planet” by some, Apple will launch the iPhone 8 in fewer colors than usual in an effort to maintain a “boutique” style of branding, with the company appearing to of merged Gold & Rose Gold to create the ‘Copper Gold’ shown below.
According to leaked dimensions coming from sources within Apple’s supply chain, it appears that the iPhone 8 will be smaller than the iPhone 7 Plus, yet larger than the iPhone 7, closely matching Samsung with the Galaxy S8. It’s believed this year’s iPhone release will see Apple introduce an all new device featuring a 5.8-inch display which will feature a “Function Area” that will be home to Apple’s virtual Home button that will support Touch ID through a fingerprint scanner embedded directly into the display.
