Large quantity of crystal meth mistakenly mailed to Apple Store in New York
A large quantity of crystal meth was mistakenly mailed to Apple’s flagship store in Grand Central Terminal in New York according to an MTA spokesperson who reported to local media that two pounds of the drug were delivered on July 7.
An astonished Apple Store employee was said to have opened the FedEx delivery and discovered the stash of drugs while working in the iconic location, forcing the store to close while NYPD investigated and removed the package.
While police haven’t released the name of the sender, an arrest was made days later in connection to the delivery. Earlier in the year a smuggler found to be hiding a kilo of cocaine inside iPhone boxes at Abu Dhabi airport was given the death penalty after contraband was found by customs and border officials.
Apple declined to comment on the incident.
