iOS 11 glitch spotted in latest iPhone X commercial
Eagle-eyed viewers have noticed a rather embarrassing software glitch within Apple’s latest iPhone X commercial.
The Face ID focused commercial opens with a scene showing a student unlocking their iPhone X with Face ID, an action that sparks various other locks, including lockers, doors, a gymnasium supply closet and even a science lab to spring open at a glance.
At the end of the commercial, attention turns to an iPhone X that unlocks and reveals an iMessage, however, as the message appears on-screen a line of text is shown outside of the bubble it’s supposed to stay inside.
The glitch is easily missed, however it highlights the range of minor bugs that live within iOS. Apple has reportedly changed their outlook on software development and will focus on refinements, bug fixes and stability within their upcoming iOS 12 release, scheduled to debut in June at it’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference.
It’s surprising that Apple didn’t notice this themselves before publishing the commercial. It’s unlikely that the ad will be pulled for this minor software glitch, but hopefully it gives Apple a push to fix these niggling issues within their next major iOS release.
