HomePod goes on sale in Australia, arriving in-store and delivering to customers
HomePod has officially launched in Australia with customers now able to purchase the “phenomenal” smart speaker in-store as the first wave of pre-order customers begin to accept deliveries and unpack their new devices.
Due to the international time difference Australia is the first out of HomePods three launch countries to begin officially selling the speaker, with the United Kingdom next in-line followed lastly by the United States.
Early HomePod reviews have praised the speakers “phenomenal” sound quality, setting Apple way ahead of competing devices in terms of audio playback, however; reviewers have noted how Siri’s limited functionality lets the device down compared to Amazon Alexa that can perform a much wider range of tasks. – Once we get hold of HomePod we’ll be sure to publish a full review.
