Latest drone footage shows that Apple Park most likely won’t host new product launch
Recent drone footage shows us what construction progress has been made to Apple Park so far. We’re only a few weeks away before the expected iPad launch and there’s still quite a mess outside the Steve Jobs Theater. In addition, this would also put Apple at risk of having about 1,000 people of the media wandering through their new HQ.
Scaffoldings, vehicles, and equipment are still evident around the main “spaceship” and crews are still working on fencing and the roof. Landscaping personnel have been making relatively decent progress as more and more trees have become evident, but there’s still quite a bit of bare dirt left on the property. From the video, you can see that the shades designed to protect the interior building from the sun have been completed for the most part. As for underground, we can’t get a progress update, but if it’s anything like the rest of the campus it’s for the most part incomplete.
Apple has stated that staff would begin moving into the company’s new HQ next month, but work would continue to be completed into the summer. The company expects that in would take about six months to move all 12,000 of their employees.
