Drone footage shows Apple Park campus nearing completion as finishing touches take place
Finishing touches are beginning to take place on the Apple Park campus as work nears completion, and new drone footage from Duncan Sinfield shows the dramatic improvements contractors are making ahead of the sites official grand opening.
The video shows that the majority of large construction equipment is no longer needed and has been taken off site, with landscapers finishing work on the inner of the circular “spaceship” building. It appears the only section of Apple Park which is receiving attention by construction crews is the piece of land between the Steve Jobs Theater and the main spaceship building, where some vehicles and equipment remain inside of a red fence.
It’s been almost a year since Apple officially named Apple Park and ever since work has been in full throttle on the 2.8 million square foot Cupertino headquarters. While Apple has kept the interior of Apple Park relatively secret, WIRED was given an exclusive tour inside Apple Park which showed the enormous amount of attention to detail Apple is infusing into their ‘Spaceship Campus’.

Construction on the headquarters started back in 2013, with work over-running from the original completion date of Summer 2017. Once complete Apple Park will run on 100% renewable energy, with the 2.8 million-square-foot main building accessible to the public through Apple’s new visitors center that includes an on-site cafe and Apple Store.
