Apple updates Siri to promote their 28th annual World Wide Developers Conference in June
Shortly after unexpectedly announcing the dates for their annual World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) earlier today, Siri has been updated to promote the event, with the virtual assistant giving users a variety of informative responses and a button to Apple’s developer website to learn more about the conference.
By activating Siri on either an iPhone, iPad or Mac, Siri can answer questions such as “Hey Siri, when is WWDC” and “Tell me about WWDC”, with Siri comically saying Emojis will be bigger and messages will be ‘way cooler’.
WWDC 17 is where Apple is expected to unveil iOS 11, macOS 10.13 as well as updates to tvOS and watchOS. – This will be the first time WWDC will be in San Jose since 2002— the conference moved to San Francisco in 2003 and has continued to be hosted at the Moscone Center in San Francisco until now. – According to Schiller, WWDC 2017 will be about the same size as previous conferences—about 5,000 developers and 1,000 engineers. The cost of tickets to the conference will also remain the same.
Earlier this week we reported that Apple had partnered with the LEGO Batman Movie, with Siri promoting the film to users when either ‘Hey Computer’ or “Hey ‘puter” is said to the personal assistant on either an iPhone or iPad.
