Apple has updated the Apple TV Remote app with iPad support, offering Siri, enhanced Now Playing and more
Shortly after Apple released iOS 10.3 to the public on Tuesday, Apple has updated their Apple TV Remote app with iPad optimisation, a feature which has been lacking from the app which was previously compatible with just the iPhone and iPod touch.
The Apple TV Remote app closely resembles the Siri remote, with a grey pad for users to use as a trackpad while controlling the TV. Apple says… “Apple TV Remote is a great companion to Apple TV, delivering the best of the Siri Remote. With Apple TV Remote, you’ll never need to put down your iPhone or iPad to enjoy Apple TV. Control Apple TV with a swipe of your finger or use the keyboard to quickly enter text. And you can use the app along with the Siri Remote.”
What’s New in Version 1.1
- Support for iPad
- Enhanced Now Playing experience with lyrics and playlists for music and chapters, audio tracks, and captions selection for movies and TV shows
- General performance and stability improvements
