Apple is said to be readying a new Siri/AirPlay device to compete with the Amazon Echo
According to profound Apple leaker Sonny Dickson, Apple is in the final stages of designing a new Siri/AirPlay device to compete with the Amazon Echo which will carry some form of Beats technology, and is expected to run an variant iOS.
This isn’t the first time we’ve heard reports that Apple could be preparing a new smart speaker, a previous report suggested that Apple began tentative work on an Echo rival two years ago, and entered the prototype testing phase late last year.
Apple’s new Amazon Echo-like AI ‘Siri Hub’ device would perform similarly to Siri on iOS, allowing users to voice command their device to perform a range of tasks from home automation to up information and provide feedback.
It is believed to carry some form of Beats technology, and is expected to run an variant iOS
