Apple permanently closing Atlantic City, New Jersey Apple Store
Apple will reportedly be permanently closing its Atlantic City, New Jersey store according to Bloomberg who claim a “sharp decline in tourism” combined with low sales have prompted Apple to make “the difficult decision” not to extend its lease.
The closure will see Apple relocate all 52 staff members to its southern New Jersey, Delaware Valley, and Greater Philadelphia area stores. – No official date of closures has been shared by Apple. The Atlantic City, New Jersey store is continuing to offer Today at Apple sessions and Genius Bar appointments.
Speaking to Bloomberg on Friday, an Apple spokesperson said…
We have made the difficult decision not to extend our lease […] due to a sharp decline in tourism. We look forward to serving our Greater Atlantic City customers through our southern New Jersey, Delaware Valley, and Greater Philadelphia area stores.
