Apple Park drone footage explores the Steve Jobs Theater as construction work continues
As construction work continues, Duncan Sinfield has shared new Apple Park drone footage that explores the Steve Jobs Theater in all its glory. The Steve Jobs Theater is Apple’s new 1,000-seat on-site auditorium, named in honour of the Apple co-founder who passed away prior to work commencing on the development.
The on-site theater is a 20-foot-tall glass cylinder, 165 feet in diameter, supporting a metallic carbon-fiber roof. The theater will be used by Apple when launching new products and making company announcements, situated atop a hill — one of the highest points within Apple Park — overlooking meadows and the main building.
Apple Park will run on 100% renewable energy and be home to the world’s largest panels of curved glass that are being installed to the 2.8 million-square-foot main building. The 12,000 staff members moving to the campus over the next six months will enjoy a 100,000 square foot fitness centre, with members of the public able to view the headquarters through Apple’s public visitors centre which includes a cafe and Apple Store.

Opening day is getting closer at Apple Park, landscaping and road-striping are not the only things wrapping up.
“To honor his memory and his enduring influence on Apple and the world, the theater at Apple Park will be named the Steve Jobs Theater. Opening later this year, the entrance to the 1,000-seat auditorium is a 20-foot-tall glass cylinder, 165 feet in diameter, supporting a metallic carbon-fiber roof.
