Apple Park drone flyover shows Apple’s near complete Steve Jobs Theater
Ahead of Apple’s highly anticipated ‘Let’s meet at our place’ media event scheduled for next Tuesday, new drone footage from Duncan Sinfield gives us our closest look at the near complete Steve Jobs Theater at Apple Park, offering a sneak peak inside the simplistic lobby which leads down to the 1,000-seat auditorium where Apple is set to unveil the iPhone 8, Apple Watch Series 3 and updates to the Apple TV.
While we’re still left in the dark regarding the interior of the auditorium, new images uploaded to Google Maps by on-site construction workers back in June showed the rough layout and style Apple was working towards, with natural wood finishes shown on the steps and stage walls.
Apple Park will run on 100% renewable energy and be home to the world’s largest panels of curved glass that are being installed to the 2.8 million-square-foot main building. The 12,000 staff members moving to the campus over the next six months will enjoy a 100,000 square foot fitness centre, with members of the public able to view the headquarters through Apple’s public visitors centre which includes a cafe and Apple Store.
