Apple offering instant credit towards new devices with Apple GiveBack
Apple has improved its Apple GiveBack recycling service in the United States, offering customers purchasing a new iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch or Mac online through Apple.com the opportunity to earn instant credit towards their purchase by trading-in old devices.
Unlike the previous Apple GiveBack program which required you to post your device to Apple’s recycling center and await an Apple gift card for the value of your trade-in, the process has been completely streamlined to make it easier than ever for customers to take full advantage of the scheme.
As spotted by an anonymous tipster, 9to5Mac reports links for Apple GiveBack now appear just before customers reach the check out online, with a large, bold pop-up window allowing you to quickly get a value for your potential trade-in after entering the device’s serial number.
The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are the latest devices eligible as part of the Apple GiveBack program, however; with new iPhone hardware on the horizon Apple may soon update the program yet again to accept iPhone 8 and iPhone X models.
