Apple discontinues limited edition (PRODUCT)RED iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus models
After releasing the limited edition devices in March, Apple has today discontinued the PRODUCT)RED iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus models from sale, with the company turning their attention solely towards their range of new iPhone devices introduced today.
The special edition (PRODUCT)RED iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus were part of Apple’s effort to raise money for the Global Fund, a charity organisation which aims to “bring the world a step closer to an AIDS-free generation”.
Back in March when launching the devices, Tim Cook said… “Since we began working with (RED) 10 years ago, our customers have made a significant impact in fighting the spread of AIDS through the purchase of our products, from the original iPod nano (PRODUCT)RED Special Edition all the way to today’s lineup of Beats products and accessories for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch.”
Apple continues to support the charity by offering special (PRODUCT)RED accessories available both in-store and at Apple retail locations.
