Suppliers to begin OLED iPad Pro display production in February

Apple suppliers will begin production of new OLED iPad Pro displays in February according to an industry report from South Korea’s Chosun Biz (via AppleInsider).
The new report, which doesn’t offer much new insight into Apple’s long-rumored plans to introduce OLED displays to its iPad Pro lineup, claims that beginning next year, suppliers Samsung Display and LG Display will begin mass production on the new display panels, which will come to the iPad Pro with an updated model later in 2024.
Last week it was reported that Apple plans to discontinue its 12.9-inch iPad Pro with mini-LED display when it launches its new OLED model, which will offer users a better viewing experience over LED thanks to several advantages in display quality including a larger color range and high contrast levels, better handling of darkness and lighting precision, and fast response times.
Apple is said to be planning a full update to its iPad lineup next year, comprising of a new entry-level iPad, iPad Air and iPad mini to coincide with the launch of the first OLED iPad Pro.
