Apple ‘unlikely’ to launch new iPads this year, says Kuo

Apple is “unlikely” to release any new iPad models before the end of the year, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
In a post on X, formally Twitter, Kuo contradicts an earlier insight from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who claimed that a new iPad Air would launch “soonish,” hinting at a launch in October, the month Apple typically unveils new iPad models.
Kuo’s brief update on X said that “new iPad models are unlikely before the year’s end,” pointing to the iPhone maker unavailing new upgrades in 2024, which is when reports have suggested Apple will announce an upgraded iPad Pro, new iPad Air and refreshed iPad mini.

Additionally, Kuo has claimed that Apple will not launch any new MacBook models (equipped with M3 processors) before the end of this year, seemingly suggesting that Apple will not announce any new hardware before the year’s end following Tuesday’s iPhone and Apple Watch-focused “Wonderlust” special event.
