Apple is now selling a new $29 USB-C to Lightning Adapter after transitioning to USB-C with the launch of the iPhone 15, with the new dongle allowing users to connect their Lightning accessories to a USB-C-enabled iPhone or iPad to provide charging, data and audio.
To use the accessory, users simply plug the USB-C end of the adapter into the USB-C connector on their iPhone or iPad, then connect their Lightning accessory.
The adapter supports connection to most cars including those that work with CarPlay.
The USB-C to Lightning Adapter is compatible with all USB-C iPads, plus the four new iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models.
