AirPods Pro Charging Case now sold with USB-C port

As rumored, Apple has released an updated version of its AirPods Pro Charging Case, which now features a USB-C charging port rather than Apple’s proprietary Lightning connector, in line with the new iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro, which also replace the Lightning port for USB-C.
Despite the change to the charging case, the AirPods Pro themselves remain the same as before.
The switch from Apple’s proprietary Lightning connector to USB-C comes following new rules imposed by the European Union on smartphone makers that require all smartphones to use one standard charging port — USB-C. This move aims to enhance consumer convenience and reduce electronic waste by promoting a universal charging solution, making it easier for users to find compatible chargers and reducing the need for multiple cables and adapters.
Apple’s second-generation AirPods Pro remain priced at $249.
