Rumored ‘iPhone Ultra’ could capture spatial photos and videos for Apple Vision Pro headset

Apple could add the ability to capture spatial photos and videos to one of its future iPhone models, according to a rumor shared by a Weibo account with a proven track record of sharing accurate information about Apple’s plans and product pipeline.
According to the post (via MacRumors), Apple could release a new “iPhone Ultra” following the release of its Vision Pro headset next year, with the new iPhone slated to “lead the market to rethink what kind of photos and videos a mobile phone should take.”
The post points to the new iPhone gaining the ability to capture spatial videos and photos, which would be visible in 3D on the Apple Vision Pro headset, with Apple possibly adding further hardware to the iPhone camera system, such as a three-dimensional camera to capture the new spatial content.
Despite the post, the source says the information is currently incomplete, with more information likely to be leaked as Apple finalizes the features for its 2024 iPhone lineup over the coming months.
