Apple to use synthetic leather for iPhone 15 cases and new Apple Watch bands, says leaker

Apple is rumored to be discontinuing its range of genuine leather iPhone accessories with the release of the iPhone 15 later this month, with reports claiming that a new synthetic leather option will be made available to create a new line of official iPhone cases.
In addition to the new cases, Apple is planning to introduce new synthetic leather Apple Watch bands too, according to a leaker on X, formally Twitter, who says the “Eco-fiber Leather Case with MagSafe” for iPhone will be available in ten color options including Black, Mulberry, Taupe, Evergreen, Pacific Blue, Wisteria, Antique White, Butter Yellow, Orange, and Pink.
According to “Kosutami,” a new woven fabric band will be released by Apple for the Apple Watch Series 9, which the leaker claimed in August could be a take on the Leather Modern Buckle Apple Watch band, which uses genuine leather as its main material.
Last month, Apple researcher @MajinBuOfficial said the new iPhone 15 leather-alternative cases will have a new texture, with a separate post from @DuanRui, another Apple researcher, claiming that the accessories could have a patchwork-like feel.
