Tim Cook using Apple Vision Pro headset daily
Apple CEO Tim Cook has said he uses Apple Vision Pro, the iPhone maker’s all-new mixed-reality headset, on a daily basis, saying everyone who has gone through the demos, whether they be members of the press, developers or analysts, have been “blown away.”
Speaking with analysts on Thursday after Apple reported its fiscal results for the 2023 third quarter, Cook said “We’re very excited about Vision Pro,” saying “We’re looking forward to shipping early next year.”
Apple’s new Vision Pro mixed-reality headset blends digital content with the physical world through a fully three-dimensional user interface controlled by a user’s eyes, hands, and voice.
The new Apple Vision Pro mixed-reality headset, which will be available only in the US at launch, will be released in 2024, with Apple stating that the device will be coming to more countries and regions later next year.
Built on the foundation of macOS, iOS, and iPadOS, visionOS is a new operating system that delivers spatial experiences for the Apple Vision Pro headset. visionOS features a new three-dimensional interface that makes digital content look and feel present in a user’s physical world.
