15-inch MacBook Air demand ‘weaker than expected’

Demand for Apple’s new 15-inch MacBook Air is reportedly “weaker than expected,” according to a report from DigiTimes citing sources within Apple’s supply chain.
The report claims that the new machine has had a “poor start,” with shipments in July said to be 50% lower than originally estimated.
The new MacBook Air boasts the same design as the smaller 13-inch model, featuring MagSafe charging, two Thunderbolt ports for connecting accessories and up to a 6K external display, along with a 3.5mm headphone jack; available in four finishes: midnight, starlight, space gray, and silver.
