Apple to use 3D-printed parts in new Apple Watch Ultra, says Kuo

Apple’s next-generation Apple Watch Ultra, which is rumored to be announced later this year, could feature new 3D-printed parts, including the Digital Crown, Side Button, and Action Button, according to reputable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
Kuo says his latest checks on Apple’s supply chain indicates that some of the titanium mechanical parts for the next Apple Watch Ultra will be 3D-printed, replacing the CNC process that components go through for the current version of the wearable, helping Apple improve the production time and reduce the production cost.
“If shipments go well, I believe more Apple products will adopt 3D printing technology,” says Kuo.
