iPhone 14 Pro Max ranked as world’s top-selling smartphone in first-quarter 2023
In the first-quarter of the year, the iPhone 14 Pro Max was ranked as the world’s top-selling smartphone, holding the top four places on the leaderboard with the iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14, and iPhone 13, according to analysis from market research firm Canalys.
The data claims that the high-end smartphone market has increased 4.7% compared to last year, reporting that out of the top 15 best-selling smartphones in the first-quarter of the year, Apple held seven positions, with the Galaxy S23 Ultra taking the fifth spot, becoming the most popular Android smartphone of Q1 2023.
The research firm reports that the following iPhone models, listed in popularity, were the best selling devices for the first quarter of the year: iPhone 14 Pro Max, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14, and iPhone 13, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 12, iPhone SE (3rd-generation).
The iPhone 14 Pro Max has widely been reported as being Apple’s most popular device in the iPhone 14 series, with sources claiming soon after the device’s launch at suppliers were scaling back production of other models to meet demand for the top-tier 6.7-inch Pro Max.
