Mac transition to Apple silicon now complete, Apple no longer selling Intel-based Macs

Apple has officially completed the transition to Apple silicon across the full Mac lineup, with the iPhone maker no longer selling Intel-based Macs following the introduction of the all-new M2 Ultra Mac Pro on Monday, which ended the three year transition period that started with the release of the first-ever M1 chip in 2020.
The Mac Pro was the last Mac in Apple’s lineup that continued to feature an Intel chip, with the model now refreshed to feature a custom Apple M2 Ultra processor that has seen the company stop selling Intel-based Macs, both in-store and online, making Apple silicon the only option for those shopping for a new Mac.
