macOS Sonoma drops support for these Macs

Apple has unveiled macOS Sonoma, its next major update for the Mac, bringing several new features including widgets, significant updates to Safari, enhanced video conferencing features, screen savers featuring slow-motion videos of various locations worldwide, and all-new Game Mode, and more.
macOS Sonoma, which will be released fully in the fall, is dropping support for several Macs, including 2017 models of the iMac and MacBook Pro, as well as the last remaining 12-inch MacBook.
This means that macOS Sonoma will be available on 2019 iMac and later, 2017 iMac Pro, 2018 and later MacBook Air and MacBook Pro, 2019 and later Mac Pro, 2022 and later Mac Studio and 2018 and later Mac mini.
The developer beta of macOS Sonoma is available through the Apple Developer Program at developer.apple.com starting today, and a public beta will be available through the Apple Beta Software Program next month at beta.apple.com.
