Apple shares hit record high ahead of WWDC23 and VR headset unveiling

Apple shares have hit a record high ahead of WWDC23 today, where the iPhone maker will announce it’s long-rumored new mixed-reality AR/VR headset, plus the next major software updates coming later in the year for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac, including iOS 17, iPadOS 17, watchOS 10, and macOS 14.
Apple’s stock is up more than 39% year to date, with shares of the company up more than 1.5% Monday morning, trading above $182.01.
Apple’s AR/VR headset has long been rumored, with it understood that the device will feature an “unconventional curved design” made of a thin piece of curved glass.
Apple CEO Tim Cook has teased that the upcoming event will be the iPhone maker’s “best ever,” with the company separately saying that WWDC23 will be its biggest and most exciting to date.
