Apple has added a new feature to AirTag with iOS 17, allowing users to share the Apple tracking device with up to five other people, allowing friends and family to keep track of an item in Find My.
With the update, everyone in a group will be able to see an item’s location, play a sound, and use Precision Finding to help pinpoint the location of a shared AirTag when nearby. This also works with all other Find My network accessories.
The update is coming with iOS 17 in fall, featuring a wide range of improvements coming to iPhone, including upgrades across the Phone, app, FaceTime, and Messages, new AirDrop capabilities, an all-new Journal app, StandBy, a new way to view glanceable information when iPhone is set down and charging, and more.
iOS 17 will be available for iPhone Xs and later.
