Apple opening new store at London’s Battersea Power Station on June 15

Apple has announced today that it will be opening the doors to a new Apple Store located at London’s iconic Battersea Power Station, which has undergone an extensive overhaul to convert the building from a former coal-fired power station to a high-end shopping, commercial and residential development.
Apple says “our brand-new London store at the iconic Battersea Power Station is almost ready to explore. We can’t wait to welcome you and help you build your ideas.”
The store will be located below where Apple will soon house 3,000 corporate employees in 500,000 square feet worth of office space above the shopping complex to form its new UK headquarters.
The plans for Apple’s new Battersea store were leaked yesterday, revealing that the iPhone maker is planning six remodels of its existing stores across the UK.
Apple is yet to confirm when its corporate headquarters will open at Battersea Power Station, with the company’s CEO, Tim Cook, saying last year that the opening would take place in early 2023, representing a “commitment to Apple’s future in the UK.”
The UK is Apple’s third-biggest retail market, home to about 40 stores.
