Apple acknowledges ongoing iMessage outage, FaceTime ‘slower than normal’
Apple has acknowledged an ongoing outage affecting both iMessage and FaceTime, reporting that some users are unable to use iMessage and could experience ‘slower than normal’ performance with FaceTime as the issues are under investigation.
Apple has listed both issues on its online system status page, reporting that it is currently working on a fix.
The issues appear to be affecting only a small number of users unlike yesterday’s Apple TV+ outage, which fit all Apple TV users ahead of the highly-anticipated Ted Lasso season three finale.
Update: Apple has now resolved the issues, reporting downtime of just under four hours.
