2024 iPhone 16 Pro to feature biggest ever display on an iPhone

Apple is once again rumored to be introducing a larger display to the iPhone with the launch of the 2024 iPhone 16 Pro, with analyst Ross Young reporting that Apple will change the aspect ratio of the device to make the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max taller and more narrow.
According to Young, the iPhone 16 Pro will feature a 6.27-inch display, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max will feature a 6.86-inch display compared to the 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch sizes of the iPhone 14 Pro-series, which is expected to stay the same with the iPhone 15 Pro series coming later this year.
Young suggests that the iPhone 16 Pro will continue to feature the Dynamic Island with ProMotion. For 2025, the analysts reports that Apple could drop the Dynamic Island and introduce its first-ever under-display Touch ID sensor with a new punch hole camera system.
The news follows after Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman claimed on Sunday that the 2024 Pro-series models will be “a couple tenths of an inch diagonally” larger than the current-generation iPhone 14 Pro lineup.
Apple isn’t expected to unveil the iPhone 16 until fall next year, so there is a good chance plans and design tweaks could change before then.
We’re yet to know much else about the iPhone 16 series given that Apple’s next generation iPhone, the iPhone 15, is yet to be announced.
