Apple reportedly in discussions with hotels to improve AirPlay experience on TVs

Apple is said to be in discussions with hotels over ways to improve the AirPlay experience on shared TVs, such as those found in hotel rooms and other venues such as conference centers and entertainment spaces, according to Bloomberg.
AirPlay allows users to share videos, photos, music and more from Apple devices including iPhone, iPad and Mac to a TV or supported sound system. AirPlay mirroring allows users to share what’s on their Apple device — websites, presentations, spreadsheets — with everyone in the room.
According to Bloomberg, as part of Apple’s upcoming iOS 17 update, the iPhone maker has been speaking with hotels about ways to increase AirPlay adoption in rooms, and how to improve the overall experience to allow guests to connect their device to the venue’s shared TV during their stay.
It isn’t clear as of yet as to how far the discussions have gone, or what improvements Apple has suggested.
