watchOS 9.5 now available for Apple Watch with bug fixes and new Pride Celebration watch face
Apple has released watchOS 9.5 for Apple Watch, bringing bug fixes and a new Pride Celebration watch face.
With watchOS 9.5, Apple has introduced a new, simplified beta installation method for future watchOS updates, with developers and public beta testers enrolled in Apple’s respective programs able to toggle a new beta updates setting directly from the Software Update section in the Watch app on iPhone to download and install the latest watchOS betas.
watchOS 9.5 includes Apple’s new Pride Celebration watch face to honor the LGBTQ+ community and culture. The new watch face is a vibrant interpretation of the Apple Watch Pride Edition Sport Band, which was announced last week with a matching iOS wallpaper.
To download watchOS 9.5, users must first have iOS 16.5 installed on the iPhone paired with their Apple Watch. To install watchOS 9.5, users must have at least 50 per cent battery charged on their device and have their iPhone connected to Wi-Fi.
watchOS updates can be installed by opening the Watch app on the paired iPhone, tapping General and selecting Software Updates.
