iOS 17 rumored to bring Apple Music app updates, new Lock Screen customization options, and more
As we near June, when Apple will officially unveil iOS 17 ahead of its debut in fall, a post on Weibo from a source who has previously provided accurate information is claiming to offer an insight into what Apple is planning for its next major iPhone software update, saying Apple Music app updates, new Lock Screen customization options, and more are on the way.
According to the post, Apple is planning on adding Apple Music lyrics to the iPhone Lock Screen, as well as making new user interface improvements in the Music app, which will see new images and graphics replace some text elements of the UI.
iOS 17 will add support for custom categories for the App Library, according to the leaker, as well as adding support for sharing custom Lock Screen designs.
Other improvements rumored to come with iOS 17 include additional Lock Screen customization options, as well as “Step-less” adjustment for the flashlight brightness.
It has previously been rumored that Apple is testing two new Dynamic Island improvements with iOS 17, including a new Siri UI and notification upgrades.
