WWDC23 to continue hybrid format, entire conference online for all developers, with in-person experience on June 5

Apple announced today that it will be hosting its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) from June 5 through June 9, where the iPhone maker is expected to announce iOS 17, iPadOS 17, watchOS 10, and macOS 14, in addition to its long-rumored AR/VR mixed-reality headset.
As it did last year, Apple will continue to use a hybrid format for this year’s special event, with the entire conference to be available online for all developers for free, with an opportunity for developers and students “to celebrate in person at a special experience” at Apple Park on opening day.
Along with announcements shared from the keynote and State of the Union presentations, this year’s online program will include sessions, one-on-one labs, and opportunities to engage with Apple engineers and other developers. Developers and students will also have the opportunity to attend a special day at Apple Park on June 5 to watch the keynote and State of the Union, alongside the global online community.
Apple’s week-long WWDC will kick-off with a keynote on Monday, June 5, with Apple expected to show off the next major software updates coming later in the year for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac, with reports suggesting that the keynote could also see Apple unveil its much-anticipated AR/VR mixed-reality headset, which would be shown off ahead of its release in fall.
