Apple shares new video introducing Apple Music Classical
Apple has shared a new video introducing Apple Music Classical, the iPhone maker’s new classical music streaming app that offers unlimited access to the world’s largest classical music catalog, free for all Apple Music subscribers.
Apple Music Classical is available to download now from the App Store, with users able to search by composer, work, conductor, or even catalog number, and find specific recordings instantly with spatial audio, featuring over 5 million tracks with everything from new releases to celebrated masterpieces, plus thousands of exclusive albums.
To celebrate the launch of the app, which went live on Tuesday, Apple has shared a new video introducing Apple Music Classical.
The new Apple Music Classical app has long been rumored following Apple’s acquisition of classical music streaming service Primephonic in 2021.
Users are able to listen to tracks in the highest audio quality (up to 192 kHz/24 bit Hi-Res Lossless) and download thousands of recordings in spatial audio with Dolby Atmos. The app features thousands of composer biographies and descriptions, with listeners able to AirPlay music to compatible wireless devices to listen on other devices. The Apple Music Classical app is not available on iPad or Mac.
The service is available worldwide where Apple Music is offered, excluding China, Japan, Korea, Russia, Taiwan, Turkey, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
