Apple is rolling out watchOS 9.4, adding improvements to Apple Watch and expanding existing features to new regions.
The update improves alarms on Apple Watch, with wake-up alarms no longer silenced with a cover to mute gesture to avoid accidental cancellations during sleep.
watchOS 9.4 brings Cycle Tracking with retrospective ovulation estimates and cycle deviation alerts to users in Moldova and Ukraine, with Fib History now available in Colombia, Malaysia, Moldova, Thailand, and Ukraine.
With watchOS 9.4, users will be able to send and receive over 20 new emoji characters including a new shaking face, a donkey, moose, and more.
Apple is recalibrating the maximum battery capacity of the 44mm Apple Watch Series 6 with watchOS 9.4, giving users more accurate battery capacity reporting to understand the maximum battery capacity of their Apple Watch.
To download watchOS 9.4, users must first have iOS 16.4 installed on the iPhone paired with the Apple Watch. To install watchOS 9.4, users must have at least 50 per cent battery charged on their device and have their iPhone connected to Wi-Fi.
watchOS updates can be installed by opening the Watch app on the paired iPhone, tapping General and selecting Software Updates.
