Restaurant chain Nando’s becomes official sponsor of Apple TV+ Ted Lasso’s AFC Richmond

Restaurant chain Nando’s has announced it has become the official sponsor of the fictional AFC Richmond soccer team featured in the Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso, which returned for a third series on Wednesday, March 15, followed by new episodes every Wednesday through May 31.
Nando’s, a popular chain popular in the United Kingdom where the Ted Lasso series is based, has said it will serve up unique experiences for fans who visit its Richmond restaurant in London for the duration of the season, including A.F.C. Richmond napkins, a change to its logo to feature the colors of the AFC Richmond team, BELIEVE–themed spice flags, and more.
It is understood that Nando’s will reveal more information about the sponsorship in the coming days, with more Ted Lasso experiences coming to its Richmond restaurant soon.

Ted Lasso stars Jason Sudeikis as Ted Lasso, an American football coach hired to manage a British soccer team — despite having no experience. The two-time Emmy Award-winning comedy series is a personal favourite of Apple CEO Tim Cook, with A.F.C. Richmond featured in “FIFA 23,” where players can select the digital avatar of Ted Lasso in career mode of the game.
