Apple rumored to announce new HomePod with 7-inch display in 2024

Apple’s long-rumored HomePod with an integrated display to control HomeKit devices, make FaceTime calls, and more could launch as soon as 2024, according to respected TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who suggests that the device will feature a 7-inch display.
In a post online, Kuo says he predicts that Apple will unveil a redesigned HomePod featuring a 7-inch panel in 1H24, noting how the redesigned HomePod “could enable tighter integration with Apple’s other hardware products, marking a significant shift in the company’s smart home strategy.”
Separate reports have previously claimed that the new smart home device will essentially be a low-end iPad that would be built to rival products such as the Meta Portal, allowing users to make and receive FaceTime calls, control things like thermostats, lights and smart home accessories, and also play video.
Bloomberg has previously reported that it believes Apple has been working, in some capacity, on new speakers with screens and cameras to create its rumored smart home control device, which would combine an iPad-like display with a HomePod to achieve an Amazon Echo Show-like device.
