15-inch MacBook Air and updated 13.6-inch model to feature all-new M3 chip, report claims

Apple’s rumored, larger 15-inch MacBook Air will likely feature an all-new M3 chip, according to a report citing sources with knowledge of the plans.
9to5Mac claim to have learnt that Apple’s upcoming 15-inch MacBook Air and updated 13.6-inch model, which are expected to be announced as soon as next month, with use a new M3 Apple Silicon chip, which will have an 8-core CPU just like M1 and M2.
On Sunday, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reported that it is still unclear what chip Apple will use for the larger 15-inch MacBook Air, noting that if the machine launches in a few months alongside an update to the 13.6-inch model with the M2 chip, “they’ll quickly become outdated,” although a “15-inch MacBook Air with an M2 chip may still excite consumers.”
The design of the new 15-inch MacBook Air isn’t expected to dramatically change compared to the current 13.6-inch model that Apple announced last year, featuring a Liquid Retina display, 1080p HD camera, MagSafe charging, and more in four new finishes — midnight, starlight, silver, and space gray.
