iOS 16 now installed on 72% of all iPhones, according to Apple

Apple has reported that 72% of all iPhones now have a version of iOS 16 installed on them, with 81% of all iPhones introduced within the last four years now using a version of iOS 16.
In an update to the Apple Developer webpage on Thursday, Apple claims that as measured by devices that transacted on the App Store this week, over 70 percent of iPhones globally are running a version of iOS 16, with 15 percent using iOS 15, and the remaining 4% running iOS 14 and below.
For the iPad, Apple says that 50% of all iPads are running iPadOS 16, with 53% of all devices introduced in the last four years using a version of the operating system.
The statistics don’t include devices that download the latest software but aren’t connected to an Apple ID.
