Apple to begin manufacturing new HomePod mini and updated AirPods Max next year, says Kuo

Apple is developing second-generation versions of the HomePod mini and over-ear AirPods Max, according to a new insight by respected TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo who suggests that mass production for the new devices will begin during the second half of 2024.
According to Kuo, who took to Twitter on Friday to share his forecast, “Apple’s next important acoustic product refresh” will happen towards the end of next year, when the iPhone maker will launch the two mentioned new arrivals, plus it’s newly rumored low-cost AirPods, which Kuo first mentioned in mid-January.
Kuo didn’t share any details on what to expect from the second-generation HomePod mini or AirPods Max, although it is possible that despite mass production beginning in the second half of 2024, the new products may not be officially announced until early 2025.
