First new HomePod deliveries arrive to customers across Australia and New Zealand

Apple has officially released its new second-generation HomePod to customers across Australia and New Zealand, with deliveries beginning now in the two countries, where it is Friday, February 3 ahead of the rest of the world because of the international time difference.
There are no official Apple Stores in New Zealand, but customers in Australia will now be able to begin collecting their reserved HomePod orders from the countries’ retail locations.
Deliveries and in-store availability for the new HomePod will continue over the next 24 hours as more countries enter Friday, February 3.
Unlike the previous-generation, the new 2nd-generation HomePod features an edge to edge backlit touch surface, retaining the mesh fabric found on the original model in two colours: white and midnight, a new colour made with 100 percent recycled mesh fabric, with a colour-matched woven power cable.
The speaker features enhanced Siri capabilities, support for Spatial Audio, the S7 chip, and more for $299 (US).
