Apple has more than 2 billion active devices worldwide, according to Tim Cook

Apple CEO Tim Cook has announced that there are more than 2 billion active iPhones, iPads, Macs, and other Apple devices worldwide, sharing the news after the company reported its lacklustre financial results for its fiscal 2023 first quarter on Thursday.
“During the December quarter, we achieved a major milestone and are excited to report that we now have more than 2 billion active devices as part of our growing installed base,” said Cook in a statement shared to the Apple Newsroom.
The insight comes as Apple reported its first year-over-year sales decline since 2019 in its Q1 2023 financial results, which saw quarterly revenue of $117.2 billion, down 5 percent year over year, with the company posting net quarterly profit of $30.0 billion, compared to net quarterly profit of $34.6 billion in the year-ago quarter.
