There may be no new iPad releases in the next 9-12 months, says Kuo

Respected TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has said there may be no new iPad releases in the next 9-12 months, suggesting that the next new iPad could be a refreshed iPad mini, which isn’t expected to arrive until the first quarter of 2024.
In a series of posts to Twitter on Monday, Kuo says he is “taking a cautious approach to iPad shipments for 2023,” predicting a year-over-year decline of 10-15%, reporting that iPad shipments are likely to increase in 2024 thanks to an all-new foldable iPad which will boast a carbon fiber kickstand, making the release of Apple’s first foldable display.
According to Kuo, Apple will likely begin mass shipments of its next new iPad — the upgraded iPad mini — towards the end of 2023 or in the first half of 2024, meaning the new device will either be announced towards the end of the year or early next year.
