Apple rumored to be opening first-ever Apple Store in Malaysia

Apple is rumored to be preparing to open its first-ever Apple Store in Malaysia, with Bloomberg reporting on Wednesday how new job listings have appeared online for store managers, technical specialists, support staff, and more for a new retail location in the country.
The apparent new location in the Asian nation would mark the first time that Apple has expanded retail stores into a new country since 2018, with Bloomberg noting how the new advertisements appear to suggest that the positions will be for a new Apple-owned store, not a third-party reseller location which have long operated in Malaysia.
Apple already has official stores in Southeast Asia, including in neighbouring countries Thailand and Singapore.
The job listings don’t mention an exact location for the new positions, meaning that it is yet unknown where the new Apple Store will be located, although a solid guess for where the store could open would be the capital, Kuala Lumpur or George Town, the second largest city in the country.
In addition to Malaysia, Apple is expected to soon open its first Apple Store in India, marking yet another expansion into a new country for Apple’s retail devision.
